Huipil Tunic Dress – Natural × Indigo with Caracol Dyed

メキシコ・オアハカ州で伝統的な織り機を使って作られている”HUIPIL”と呼ばれるチュニックドレス。綿を加工し、手で紡いだ温もりある生地と美しい刺繍が特徴です。サイド部分に用いられているインディゴはこの地域の沖合に生息する貝から作る染料による豊かで美しい色。伝統的なインディゴの糸を作る工程は非常に難しく、この糸を作る技術を持つ人は限られており貴重なものとなっています。

This tunic called "HUIPIL" made in Oaxaca, Mexico. Using traditional looms, the beautiful embroidery is spunned by hand. The indigo dye is made from shellfish found off the coast of this region. The process of making traditional Indigo yarn is extremely difficult, and only few skilled people can make this yarn.
