メキシコ・オアハカ州で伝統的な織り機を使って仕立てられる、“ウィピル”と呼ばれるチュニックドレス。手紡ぎの糸による素朴で温もりのある生地に、美しい手刺繍が映える一着です。
一部に使われている深い青色の糸は、オアハカ沿岸に生息する**巻貝（Purpura pansa）**から採れる天然染料によるもので、現在ではごくわずかな職人のみが受け継ぐ、非常に貴重な技術によって染められています。また、柔らかなブラウンの刺繍糸は、この地に自生するコユチ綿本来の自然な色合いです。

This traditional huipil tunic dress is crafted in Oaxaca, Mexico, using hand-spun cotton and woven on ancestral looms. The fabric carries a warmth and rustic texture, while the intricate hand embroidery highlights the artistry of the region.
The deep blue threads used in part of the embroidery are dyed with a natural pigment derived from the Purpura pansa, a marine mollusk found off the Oaxacan coast. This rare and ancient dyeing method is now practiced by only a few remaining artisans, making it exceptionally precious. The soft brown embroidery threads retain the natural color of coyuchi cotton, a native variety that grows naturally in the region.
